When acne gets out of control, it is often necessary to use some sort of acne product, to mitigate the unsightly appearance of inflammations. By using any of a variety of acne products, it is easy to control acne, at least to a certain extent. The most effective of these acne products are discussed below.
Often, when searching for an acne product, people lean toward daily scrubs or rinses, ignoring other acne products as masks. Masks, however, can be extremely effective in combating acne. This is seen with the Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask, which, although it requires a significant amount of time and is rather costly, can alleviate stress in addition to clearing the skin. The lavender scent is very therapeutic and is often used to reduce stress, because stress is often seen as a contributor to acne. Another mask is the Neutrogena Cooling Gel Mask, which prevents the clogging of pores and should only be used for acne prevention rather than control. Masks are a very efficient way of treating and preventing acne.
Also, some highly effective acne products are overnight treatments. Perennial favorites include Oxy Maximum Acne Treatment, a 10% benzoyl peroxide treatment. This acne product, when applied to a single zit, will most often kill it by morning. This is not a preventative measure, since this cream is very powerful and regular use over noneffected areas would result in very dry skin. Another overnight treatment that is extremely effective is the Biore Blemish Bomb. This goes on as a liquid, but then dries to form a solid seal over blemishes, resulting in a visible decrease in size by the next morning. Acne products that work overnight are often highly effective, because they are given such a long time to work.
There are also myriads of scrubs and washes that, when used as directed, are very useful acne products. Scrubs work by clearing out blackheads and creating a less habitable environment for bacteria that would otherwise lead to acne. Acne product known as washes work first by reducing the amount of oil on the skin; this makes it less apt to form a blackhead. Also, these products usually contain an acid, such as salicylic acid, that makes it easier for skin cells to fall off of the face; these small pieces of debris could otherwise get stuck in oil, causing a clogged pore. These washes should be used in accordance with either the doctor”s instructions or with the instructions on the packaging, since not using enough of a product will not achieve the desired results and using a product too much will result in dry, irritated skin, and a decreased tolerance for sunlight.
The most important factor in determining which acne product is right for you is simply which works best based on your individual needs. Products all work differently from person to person, because everyone has a different skin type. The best way to find what works for you is to try various acne products and observe how each individual acne product affects your skin.
