Natural Acne Treatment

If you have a condition of acne that seems to fight every treatment you have tried, you may want to consider natural acne treatment methods.  These natural acne treatment methods work very well on their own, or you may consider using natural acne treatment as an adjunct to other acne treatments that you are using.  These natural acne treatment methods are generally not overnight solutions, but they do help to support your body’s ability to metabolize your foods properly, and ensure overall detoxification of the impurities that are known to cause acne.

Alternative herbs that are used as a natural acne treatment are traditionally used to cleanse the tissues in the body’s systems.  These herbs work to detoxify the body and rid the body of impurities that cause acne from the inside out.  Because a natural acne treatment will work on the internal bodily systems, it will not replace any treatments that you are using as a topical or over-the-counter method.  However, these natural acne treatment methods may just work indirectly on your body in a way that your regular products will not.

Alternative herbs and natural acne treatment methods have a tendency to be quite gentle in how they affect the system.  Because of this, natural acne treatment methods are most efficiently used as a treatment method for the long term.  You will not experience overnight results, but natural acne treatment methods will not only improve your acne in the long term, but improve your overall health as well.  These natural acne treatment methods are very good for chronic inflammation issues that directly involve the skin.

A very common combination of herbs used as a natural acne treatment is the combination of Echinacea, blue flag, yellow dock, and burdock.  This combination is mixed and infused with boiling water for a tea.  Honey can be added for taste, and this tea should be consumed three times daily.  Other herbs that work well towards a natural acne treatment are poke root, cleavers, figwort, and red clover.  Another tea you can make for a natural acne treatment is sarsaparilla, burdock, and dandelion.  These herbs are combined in a very similar manner and infused with boiling water to make a tea.

If you are looking for a natural acne treatment method that is topical, there are many choices you can make in this regard as well.  Tea tree oil is a very common herb used as a natural acne treatment that is topically applied directly to your blemishes.  This is a wonderful natural acne treatment if you have sensitive skin.  Fresh cabbage juice also works very well as a natural acne treatment when it is applied directly to your inflamed areas and is also very effective for those that have sensitive skin.

You can also make a face wash that works as a natural acne treatment as well.  Blend chamomile and calendula with boiling water as a tea.  Before you use it, let it cool, and you want to keep this in the fridge for your daily wash. You can spray this on your face, or dab it onto your blemishes regularly.

All of these ingredients for a natural acne treatment method are readily available at your local health food store.

Acne Urine Therapy

If you are one that deals with acne on a consistent basis, you may be seeking alternative forms of treatment in your desperate search for the right treatment.  You have probably tried every prescription or over-the-counter method, and may have even considered light therapy. Many of these may have worked on the short-term basis, but may not be giving you the lasting results you are looking for.  If this is the case, you may want to consider unconventional treatment methods such as acne urine therapy.  Urine therapy itself holds its origins among the mystics in India and is considered to be an alternative therapy associated with tantric work.  Only recently has acne urine therapy become recognized as an effective solution towards acne treatment.

The theoretical basis behind acne urine therapy is that the urine from the body contains a host of hormones and antibodies that are good for our overall health.  The materials in the urine also include a wealth of minerals and vitamins that our body has gotten rid of because the internal systems do not require them.  Thus, using acne urine therapy is a means of putting to good use the materials that are beneficial, but not currently being used by the body at the internal level.

Acne urine therapy is something that you can do yourself in the privacy of your home without anyone every even knowing that you use this treatment.  The process involves a collection of your urine into a sterilized cup. The best time to collect your urine is with your first morning urine, as the most antibodies and materials will be found in this collection.  You then perform your acne urine treatment by applying the urine directly to your affected blemishes.  You can do this several times throughout the day, and some have been known to leave it on overnight.  To preserve your acne urine treatment, you can put it in a sealed container and keep it in the fridge to use it later in the day.  You don’t want to use one collection for more than a period of one day, and if you continue with your acne urine treatment, you should have a fresh collection every day.

Acne urine therapy is known to have an exceptional healing effect when it is applied directly to your skin.  Acne urine therapy is also a very good toner for your skin.  This acne urine treatment is sterile once it has been collected, and thus it also contains antiseptic properties.  If you have a healthy diet and do not use allopathic medicine or chemical drug therapy, acne urine therapy can be a very beneficial means of cleansing your skin and attacking your acne blemishes.

Acne Treatment

Acne results from pores that are clogged with debris (usually dead skin cells) and oil, and consequently, bacteria that are growing behind this blockage. This results in an inflammation beneath the skin, which presents itself as an unsightly reddish papule. This creates three main focus areas to deal with when considering acne treatment. To treat existing acne, it is necessary to reduce the amount of bacteria cells, alleviating the infection, while, to treat acne preemptively, it is necessary to block oil and dead skin from accumulating on the face.

Accutane Acne Treatment

When topical acne treatments fail, such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, an oral treatment such as the medicine Accutane (active ingredient isotretinoin) is often prescribed. This treatment is highly effective, because it decreases the production of oils (in the form of sebum) from the sebaceous glands found on the skin, as well as the size of these glands. Although incredibly effective, Accutane acne treatment does come with some risks that will be discussed later.
